The fight to stop violence against women does not have an expiration date, but this week we have shown our support for women’s wellbeing by partaking in several activities. The Insight Project proposed and organized the film screening “Carga”, a movie about the trafficking of women for sexual purposes. It’s screening, is one of the highlights of orange week launched in 2008 by the UN and which is being held for the 5th time in Luxembourg.
The 2018 production directed by Bruno Gascon featuring actors like Michalina Olzanska, Dmitry Bogomolov, Vitor Norte, Rita Blanco and Sara Sampaio among others.
Carga has been sold in more than 30 countries and has been one of the most seen Portuguese movies in 2018.
We’re happy to see that this film’s strong message keeps relevant.
In the words of Simão Sampaio, a young volunteer from The Insight Project, “change starts with men, with me and my fellowmen, with my generation”.
